5 Products That Helped My Hair Grow Back
•••
By Violette De Ayala
As soon as I get stressed out, my hair falls out. And having Hashimoto’s hasn’t helped. At the start of the pandemic, I lost a lot of money and therefore a lot of hair. I also started going through menopause and I feel the hormone shifts didn’t help my battle with hair loss.
I searched for products, remedies and solutions to get my hair to grow back. Here are the 5 products that helped. I am an affiliate for some of these products which means if you use my link, I get a very tiny itty bitty commission. My intention in sharing is to help others grow their hair back as I have been able to do throughout the last two years.

Protein Powder Made from Real Bone Broth by Ancient Nutrition: I have replaced my morning coffee with this beverage and I find it to be very yummy. I use half a scoop and use my tea kettle to heat water as you would for tea. I actually only pour about a tablespoon into my mug with the half scoop of bone broth protein and create a paste as I do with Hot Cocoa. Once I have mixed up the paste really well, I then finish topping off my mug with the remainder of the 8 ounces of hot water. You can add a teaspoon of monkfruit as well.
Super Collagen and Vitamin C: A nurse recommended these to me years ago and I have used them off an on and it has really helped my thinning hair. They are pretty big capsules and it’s recommended to have 6 a day but I only ever did 3 in the morning and that was enough. I honestly, just kept forgetting to do the second batch of 3 capsules.

Vital Proteins Marine Collagen Peptides Powder Supplement for Skin Hair Nail Joint Hydrolyzed Collagen: I sprinkle this in my tea, lemonade and even on top of strawberries. This doesn’t do well in cold smoothies. But it does well in warm or room temperature foods. It has no flavor but I wouldn’t recommend adding two scoops until you get used to the texture. This is also great to sprinkle on granola. It’s packed with high and good
quality protein and is low in calorie.

Vegamour Serum: It’s like Rogaine but smells better and not as harsh. It’s just a few drops on the scalp. I also got a scalp massager which helps, I believe, to stimulate the hair growth. It is pricey but it seems to last longer than what you think it will last.

Hair Scalp Massager: Not only do I believe this helps with hair growth, it feels so good when you’re stressed out. It’s like a professional massage on your scalp.
